I know ...Very true about getting what you pay for. I know for me, with the thigh holster, I wasn't sure if I could pull it off or not, I'm a bean pole of a thing, I turn sideways and you won't see me (yes that makes it hard to conceal lol). So far I do love my thigh holster, it seems to hold up nicely but I know eventually certain parts will wear out.Is She Dangeroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690875896381850565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-59318779755198999792013-05-16T19:56:18.351-07:002013-05-16T19:56:18.351-07:00The thigh holsters i'm talking about are the d...The thigh holsters i'm talking about are the drop down tactical style and not the concealed ones you'd be after I think.

One thing to remember with holsters is that you usually get what you pay for. Most of the cheaper ones I've tried were either uncomfortable in use or were inferior quality so they didn't last long. The only exception I found was with the uncle mikes holster I bought for my Bersa 380. I still have that one and used it for 4 years right up until I got my 1911Jerome Easthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02186519754645373588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-8768242505848196342013-05-13T10:27:23.633-07:002013-05-13T10:27:23.633-07:00I had a hard time finding my thigh holster, they d...I had a hard time finding my thigh holster, they do make the same one for bigger guns and I've considered getting it but I think with my size I would have a hard time hiding my 1911. I also want to get a shoulder rig eventually too.

I did a google image search on your current holster, that is a really nice and I think I'll give them a look. I've liked some of the Galco holsters that I've seen, I was sad to hear that they discontinued their female thigh holster though because I wanted one, I just wanted to try out a cheaper one first to make sure that form of carry would work for me. I like how your current holster has the double clips, the one I currently have only has one.Is She Dangeroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690875896381850565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-3646854796060602512013-05-10T21:20:59.918-07:002013-05-10T21:20:59.918-07:00Should say doubt I'll ever use one without a r...Should say doubt I'll ever use one without a retention strap instead of don't......hate my phone sometimes ;)Jerome Easthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02186519754645373588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-66730731060417837822013-05-10T21:19:18.639-07:002013-05-10T21:19:18.639-07:00I'm glad you're sticking with it. The only holsters I use are inside the waistband holsters (at the moment at least, i'm wanting a shoulder rig and a thigh holster for my 1911 but haven't found one I like yet for a lefty). None of the ones I currently use have retention straps and I don't I'll ever use an IWB holster does.

The newest one i'm using is the "Texas heritage" from Tucker gun leather and I love it. Until I got that one I never thought I'd be able to to conceal a full size 1911 in an IWB holster. Might not hurt to check out what they have, might find something you likeJerome Easthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02186519754645373588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-56201266077301876412013-05-09T10:54:26.864-07:002013-05-09T10:54:26.864-07:00I am so happy that things have gone really smoothl...I am so happy that things have gone really smoothly with introducing my sister to this.

I love carrying concealed, it is definitely a different feeling about being in Public. I feel even more aware of my surroundings. I still have a bit of that nervousness that someone is going to notice but so far no one has. I've even carried at home just to see if my sister would notice and she hasn't and I'm sure she scrutinizes me far more than a random stranger. I still need to find a good under the waist holster, the one I have, the retention strap doesn't go between the hammer so I want to find something more suitable for when I wear pants. Thank you for asking, I had meant to make a post on it but I didn't get around to it.Is She Dangeroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690875896381850565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-46533388962730661592013-05-08T12:17:56.265-07:002013-05-08T12:17:56.265-07:00And another set of eyes opened to the reality we l...And another set of eyes opened to the reality we live in. This really is the biggest victory for me, I never thought she would ever agree to it. I'm making sure to read Cornered Cat's article on taking new shooters to the range just to help me figure out how exactly I want to do this. :)Is She Dangeroushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17690875896381850565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148097614057083884.post-47773635765486121752013-05-07T15:24:42.987-07:002013-05-07T15:24:42.987-07:00Excellent!
